LIGNIRON is funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowship that focuses on developing lignin-iron complexes for the removal of nano-plastics from water through enhanced coagulation-flocculation processes. Led by Dr. Mahmoud Mazarji, a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Materials and Environmental Chemistry (MMK) at Stockholm University, the project is supervised by Professor Mika Sipponen within the Sustainable Materials Chemistry (SUSMATCHEM) research group.
